Miele

The Miele Company has a long and rich history of high quality engineering. “Immer Besser” or "Forever Better" was established early as the company motto and stands for a commitment to the highest quality standards, longevity and improvement; both in production and business practices. This philosophy is as relevant today as it was over 114 years ago.

In 2007 Miele put Google and Porsche behind and won the Best Brands award.

Founded in 1899 by a farmers son, Carl Miele, and a salesman, Reinhard Zinkann, The Miele Company is still independently owned and managed by the fourth generation of Miele and Zinkann families. With global headquarters in Gutersloh, Germany, Miele is a world leader in the production of premium domestic and commercial appliances.

Miele products includes vacuum cleaners, washing machines and dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators and built-in kitchen appliances such as ovens, gas, microwave, coffee maker, etc. which are all made in Germany and tested to last for over 20 years.

Spurned on by their initial success, the founding fathers venture into the production of motorcars. Between 1912 and 1914, a total of 125 cars are sold. They still have one of them in the Miele Museum in Gutersloh.

Miele presents the new Moisture Plus ovens. A combination of Fan Plus and moisture keeps roasts succulent and bakes bread with a fine crust.
For the most discerning of customers, Miele launches the FIRE and ICE series – with surface finishes in titanium or aluminium, with chrome- or gold-plated fittings.

To the delight of lovers of perfect coffee, exquisite design and superb user convenience, Miele is now offering its first countertop coffee makers. Thanks to their compact design, there is space on all kitchen worktops. Inside, these machines source their technology from Miele's built-in units.

Miele's InfoControl Plus, allowing full control of all Miele appliance at a single glance. Using wireless LAN technology, users are able to check up on the status of appliances throughout the home by calling up the selected programme, the operating mode or the remaining countdown time. What is also new is that appliances can now even be remotely controlled: Switching machines on and off from anywhere around the home is no problem anymore.

For the first time it its history, Miele is to present a steam ironing system with an 'active' ironing table. The patented 1-2-Lift System which allows the table to be both raised and folded away effortlessly is likely to meet with a rapturous response among both beginners and the proficient, along with many Miele-exclusive features and highlights.

The Miele third-level cutlery tray is this year celebrating its 25th anniversary. This is adjustable in both height, width and depth and offers numerous ways of arranging even large, awkward items or accommodating tall stemware in the basket below.
